Annie Lyn Nilo graduated from Far Eastern University in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

She has worked in various areas of Metropolitan Hospital serving both the inpatient and outpatient population for over 14 years.

In April 2003, Ms. Nilo became a “Certified Diabetes Educator” and developed a program at Metropolitan Hospital instructing adult patients in better understanding their diabetes.

We attribute the success of the Diabetes Club to her, which meets the last Thursday of each month and acts as a support group for our patients and people of the community. As a result of this initiative, we have seen a vast improvement in our patient self-management of diabetes.

Annie Lyn Nilo has been designated as the Clinical Champion representing Metropolitan Hospital in the Health & Hospitals Corporation Chronic Care Collaborative for Diabetes.
