Angelina Montero, RN is known as Angie by everyone. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in the Philippines in 1980 and came to the United States in 1988.

Ms. Montero joined Gouverneur Healthcare Services in 1990 as a Staff Nurse in the Nursing part of the facility. For the past fifteen years, she has demonstrated professional skills in providing quality care to residents. She is an outstanding nurse that goes beyond the call of duty to ensure superior care to all of the residents on her unit. She is competent, knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, respectful, and most of all, sensitive to residents’ needs. She has gained the respect of the residents, their family members, and her co-workers.

She embraces challenges with confidence since the organization often calls upon her to assume leadership responsibilities. She can effectively manage more than just the unit she is assigned to – she does it with a smile and confidence. She is a true “team player.”

Her exceptional performance, level of professional commitment, and ability to execute other task helps to improve the quality of residents’ lives on a daily basis.

Ms. Montero continues to work collaboratively with the clinical staff, supervisors, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. She is truly an asset to our Nursing Department at Gouverneur.
