Marisol Torres has been employed at Bellevue Hospital center since 1988. Over these years, she has consistently demonstrated broad knowledge base and excellent critical care skills. She is actively involved in setting high standards of practice on her unit. She is a motivator and a patient advocate. Ms. Torres always carries herself in a very professional manner, well respected by her peers and other members of her team. She is a resource person on the night tour and a mentor to new staff and students.

Ms. Torres extends herself beyond Critical Care. With perfect attendance, she has accumulated a lot of sick hours that she willingly donates to other employees, not necessarily from Critical Care, who are in extended health care leave needing assistance.

She was previously given a Nurse Recognition Award at Bellevue in the 1990’s during Nurses’ Week.
