Aliceson Lucas, Nurse Practitioner, has worked with HHC for the past twenty-three years. She is a graduate of BMCC and subsequently earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Medgar Evers College. Prior to working in the school-based clinic at IS 166, she worked at Kings County Hospital and East New York Diagnostic and Treatment Center. Positions held include Staff Nurse, Assistant Head Nurse, and Head Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Burn Unit, Pediatric and GYN clinics.
In 1994, Ms. Lucas returned to college because of her desire to provide a higher level of care to patients. She became a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Lucas works exceptionally well with her peers and colleagues. Her level of commitment and responsibilities do not only include the children at IS 166, but include everyone at East NY Diagnostic and Treatment Center.
She approaches all projects with enthusiasm, clinical expertise, and attention to detail. She is a very dynamic individual who embraces challenge. Ms. Lucas also makes the time to function as the Infection Control/Safety Coordinator. She is active in several professional organizations. Since 1996, Ms. Lucas has been working at IS 166 providing primary care. She loves to work with children and is the mother of one child.
East NY Diagnostic and Treatment Center is honored to nominate her for the Clinical Nurse Excellence Award.
